Project details:
- Front-end/back-end development; HTML, CSS, PHP, jQuery, APIs (Weather.com), Google Apps integration, Yahoo! Pipes, XML/KML/RSS/iCal, Facebook Connect
- A project developed as gift to the Community of Ketchikan, Alaska that brings “social” and subscriptions to the communities’ ongoing activities from the Arts Council to the local schools.
- Organized and trained community leaders in how to maintain these services efficiently and with limited time needed in doing so.
This website, built from scratch, uses several services (mainly Yahoo! Pipes) to aggregate local information to it’s users.
