Simon’s Naturally is the second of two websites completed for the Creative Cafes network. The development for Simon’s was inspired from work done for Ogo! Sustainable Catering. The ability to maintain Menu items from a single database, tools like “Group Ordering”, and restaurant inspired design, make Simon’s an effective Web Site.
Project details:
- Front-end/framework development/server configuration/database schema; XHTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, jQuery
- Used HTML5 caching structure to enhance load times; created PHP array stores for each Menu, Sub Menu, and MySQL database for Store Menu items.
- Integrated custom jQuery scripts throughout the site including: Order page, Ticketing system, and Contact form.
- Designed layout using .PDF template provided by client, Order page usability design, and form design throughout the website.
- Integrated a custom ticketing system for Group Orders; includes ability to invite guests via email, collect menu options, share event details to guests, and finalize group orders.
- Supports cross-browser embedded fonts.
The Simon’s Ordering Menu delivers Instant Cost Totaling, Smart Form Validation, an Elegant & Simple User Experience, and is powered using PHP 5, MySQL 5, XHTML, HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery 1.4.2 making it fast and efficient.
